Julien Bernier uses quantitative model to pick names with consistent momentum on his Digital Stars Europe ex UK vehicle
A quantitative fund that follows momentum is challenging its qualitative peers for the top spot on the European equities stage. Digital Stars Europe ex UK is ranked 13th out of 96 funds in the IMA Europe ex UK sector over three years to 27 June, according to Morningstar. It returned 26.1% over the period while the sector average was 13.1%. Over one year, it is sixth out 109 funds with 26.2%, well ahead of the average, which was 19%.
