How long before property funds are likely to allow investors access to their capital? AP: It depends on the fund. There are some open-ended funds out there, that theoretically can give you instant access or close to immediate access, but some of those are closed to redemptions. There is also the problem that the people who do stay in the fund may end up holding the properties that are the least saleable; you sell the most saleable ones first. So they may be disadvantaged.
