Barings is adding an Asian vehicle to its single-strategy hedge fund range. Managed by Adrian Au, the Asia Strategic fund will launch on 1 March and invest in regions such as India and Australia, but not Japan. Au will aim to create a beta-neutral portfolio that is not correlated to Asian markets, and has a portfolio of around 50 positions. The fund will be domiciled in Ireland, with US dollar and euro share classes available.
