Manager of managers (Mom) Russell is to run a $500m Asia Pacific fund for Robeco. The Dutch bank is abandoning a country based asset allocation strategy for the region in favour of a sector approach. As part of the deal, Robeco has outsourced asset allocation and manager selection to Russell. Russell intends to give mandates to groups with which it has existing relationships, rather than conducting a beauty pageant for new managers.
