As the Child Trust Fund (CTF) finally reached its formal parliamentary reading at the end of 2003 you may be forgiven for thinking that it has itself been born and reborn a number of times already since it was conceived in early 2000. Should it pass successfully through Westminster during the early part of 2004, the Government endowment of up to £500 for every child born in the UK since 1 September 2002 looks set to finally hit the streets in April 2005.
