Revere Capital Advisors has established a distribution platform for up-and-coming hedge managers. Revere, which launched last week, was set up by former Man Group employees Harvey McGrath, Daniel Barnett, and John Kinder. The platform invests in early-stage hedge funds and is designed to allow new managers to focus on running money. Revere aims to purchase an initial small stake in promising managers with less than $50m and takes an option to increase it once they hit a fixed level of assets - in return for helping them raise capital.
