UBS's thomas digenan says investors should not be put off by preparations for the presidential elections as US equities are in good shape

The US equity market is close to fair value at the moment and investors should not be distracted by the political noise that typically precedes a presidential election, according to Thomas Digenan, US equities fund manager at UBS Global Asset Management. "It is worth mentioning, as it seems to be a big factor for UK investors," he told the Investment Week Markets Forum in a presentation by satellite link from New York.
