Intermediary firm Portfolio Optimiser is launching a portfolio construction tool designed to put IFAs on a competitive footing with fund of funds (Fof) managers. The Portfolio Optimiser enables advisers to use Harry Markowitz's theory of modern portfolio construction to blend up to 10 funds for different risk profiles and performance targets. The group is launching the product as it believes many of the tools used by large institutions are performing calculations incorrectly.
