Although fears remain about whether the US economy will turn into the next Japan, head of global equities at Baring Asset Management Chris Lees does not believe this will be the case. Speaking at the recent Investment Week Northern Markets Forum, Lees said the US will not follow the same pattern as Japan given the rapid bottom-up and top-down responses, from individual companies and the Government respectively.
