Friends Provident (FP) is to increase its range of external fund links by 18 before the end of the end of 2004. These funds will fill in gaps or provide more choice across key sectors. The group has specifically identified Asia and UK Equity Income as areas in which it wants more funds. The 18 new portfolios will come from four providers, namely First State, Newton, Invesco Perpetual and Artemis. The group currently provides 50 fund links, 20 internal and 30 external from seven managers including Fidelity, Investec, Merrill Lynch and Threadneedle. This extended fund range will be avai...
