Latin American manager convinced on Brazilian growth story holding over 60% in region
Gartmore's head of emerging markets Chris Palmer remains bullish on Brazilian growth, and holds over 60% of his Latin American fund in the region. The manager said Brazil is rich in commodities and resources, illustrated by the recent discovery of large offshore oil reserves, but he said there are plenty of opportunities across the continent. "As ongoing political and economic reforms open up the region to investment and Latin American countries improve their trade flows with the rest of the world, Brazil certainly looks compelling," he added.
