Once the sector to watch, the online gaming industry is now a dead story according to UK managers. Big online gaming companies such as PartyGaming, Sportingbet and 888 Holdings have struggled since a shock move by the US Congress to outlaw their North American operations last October. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act made it illegal for banks and credit card companies to process online payments for gaming activity from the US.
