Old Mutual’s Richard Moore remains positive about the future performance of his UK retail funds despite their underperformance over the past three years. Admitting that the UK Select Large Cap fund has underperformed, Moore pointed to the fact it invests purely in the underperforming FTSE 100 index as a reason and added that changes to the team that works on UK Select Equity should prompt a turnaround in figures. “Since March 2004 the large caps on the fund have been managed by me while the mid and small caps are managed by the mid- and small-cap team,” he said. “This is already showing th...
