Investment Week research suggests life offices have proved unable to shake their stereotype image as strong on bonds but weak on equity portfolios. Only Standard Life Investments bucked the trend in a survey of unit trust and Oeic performance over three years to 13 February, by the investment arms of life offices. Its 18-strong fund range includes three fixed interest, one cash and 14 equity products.
