Russ Mould, investment director at AJ Bell, looks at how the FTSE 100 stocks most rated a 'buy' or 'sell' last year performed in 2018 and the analyst ratings for 2019. According to the firm, the ten FTSE 100 stocks that analysts most often rated a 'buy' lost an average of 17.3% in 2018 compared to the index loss of 12.5%. Only one of the top ten made a positive return.
