Fund flows: How has the UK landscape changed since 2000?

The percentage of assets in equity funds has declined from more than 80% of total industry assets in 2000 to just 56.7% this year, as UK investors switch in favour of alternative and multi-asset strategies, according to a Fundscape report.

Its research contained in The Essential Guide to the UK Fund Distribution Landscape study found sales of equity funds reached their peak during the dotcom bubble at the turn of the millennium, but have since declined.
