Lee Gardhouse, CIO at Hargreaves Lansdown and manager of the soon-to-be-launched Multi-Manager High Income fund, has said he sees a strong pipeline of opportunities from the UK equity income sector for his new vehicle.
Speaking about the upcoming launch, the manager (pictured) said UK equity income funds will make up a large proportion of the new fund, which will sit in the IA Flexible sector, not least because the choice of good active managers in this space is so broad. "The UK is still the best place for equity income," Gardhouse said. "There are a lot of good equity income fund managers in the UK, and companies are in the habit of paying out income."
