Some of the largest funds in the IMA Global Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific ex Japan sectors have significantly increased exposure to Indian equities over 12 months to the end of January.
Among them are the £6.6bn First State Asia Pacific Leaders, Investec Asia ex Japan and Schroder Asian Alpha Plus funds, which have raised allocations by 7.8, 6 and 4.2 percentage points respectively, according to data from Hargreaves Lansdown. In the IMA Global Emerging Markets sector, BlackRock Emerging Markets has doubled exposure to 6.46% and Baillie Gifford’s Emerging Markets Growth fund has hiked exposure to more than 10% of the fund.
