The best fund managers in Japan have long since established a separation between the corporate world and the wider economic outlook. This trend has accelerated in the aftermath of the Japanese earthquake, with many of the top managers ignoring domestic stocks altogether and focusing on globally-exposed companies such as the large exporters.
