FoHFs back into positive territory

S&P Fund Services reveals Fund of Hedge Funds (FoHFs) have seen improved Q3 returns, led by fixed income strategies

Looking at the fund of hedge funds (FoHFs) sector, the latest review from Standard & Poor’s Fund Services has found returns have improved over Q3, pushing them back into positive territory over the year to the end of September 2010. During the current year, fixed income-focused strategies have been the strongest performers. The S&P AA-rated Permal Fixed Income Holdings has been the best-performing FoHF, returning 6% to the end of September 2010 and benefitting from a relatively strong environment for fixed income-based hedge fund strategies.
