Managers in disparate UK All Companies sector see fortunes vary with cyclical-focused managers having led the charge from earlier struggle

The UK All Companies sector has been at the forefront of market volatility in the UK over the past year with different parts of the sector experiencing rebounds and setbacks of varying degrees. There has been great performance disparity within the sector with not one fund having managed to hit positive territory over one year to 15 June, according to Lipper. In addition, nearly half of the 307 funds in the sector have seen losses of 20% or more during the same time period with a further 18 experiencing losses of at least 30%.
