Regional vehicles top diverse Specialist peer group over three years, with Neptune Russia and Greater Russia taking top spot with returns of nearly 250%

Russia and Latin America focused funds have continued to dominate the Specialist sector over the past three years, with Neptune Russia and Greater Russia taking the top spot. Since January 2005, the Neptune fund has produced returns of 249.8% followed by JPM New Europe's 193%. The third best fund in the sector was the £66m Scottish Widows Latin American, returning 186.16%. Neptune manager Robin Geffen runs his fund with a top-down macroeconomic view and has benefited from key bets in Russia.
