Baillie Gifford Emerging Markets Growth portfolio tops peer group over three years, with average sector return in excess of 100% over three years

Emerging market funds have suffered like most others over the last three months, but their three-year numbers remain impressive. The Global Emerging Markets sector has returned an average of 107.1% over three years to 4 February, more than tripling the UK All Companies peer group's 30.6%. The best-performing retail fund is Baillie Gifford Emerging Markets Growth, managed by Gerald Smith and Richard Sneller, which returned 136.4% over the period.
