Mark Mobius and team are responsible for 40 portfolios at Franklin Templeton, with the best-known UK vehicle the Templeton Emerging Markets investment trust he set up in 1989. He has spent nearly 40 years travelling the world - and particularly the Far East - in search of investment opportunities. Mobius has achieved such fame that last year he was the subject of a Manga cartoon biography - a distinction he shares with such august investors as Warren Buffett and George Soros.
