The manager of F&C's UK Opportunities fund believes his 25x4 approach has stopped him running losers in the portfolio he has managed since launch in 2005
F&C's Phil Doel is celebrating the second anniversary of his UK Opportunities fund with top-quartile performance and a cumulative return of 20.10% since launch on 30 December 2005. Over one year to 31 December, the £139m vehicle ranks 91 in the 304-strong UK All Companies sector, with a bid-to-bid return of 5.3% compared with 1.9% for the peer-group average.
