Nick Timberlake took over the HSBC Global Emerging Markets Equity fund three years ago after leaving F&C Asset Management. He was joined at Halbis, the group's specialist fund management arm, by Stephanie Wu and Douglas Helfer, both also left F&C. According to figures from Morningstar, the vehicle has outperformed its benchmark since Timberlake took over, returning 95.12% against 85.29% over three years to end March.
