Glen Pratt's Melchior UK Opportunities returns triple sector average in first year
Glen Pratt, with experience from Fidelity and Newton, has tripled the average return from the All Companies sector with his Melchior UK Opportunities fund since launch a year ago. The fund has returned 33.56% bid to bid compared to the sector average of 12.68%, ranking second out of 297 funds since launch on 15 May, according to Morningstar. Pratt began his career as a pan-European analyst at Fidelity in 1993 and ran the UK Aggressive fund from 1998 until 2002. He joined Newton in 2003 to manage £2bn of UK equities.
