Credit managers on the move

M&G, Aegon and Old Mutual are all going into the Isa season with recently acquired star bond fund managers

Corporate bond managers were hot property last year with some of the top-performing managers in this area switching companies. Richard Woolnough left Old Mutual to join M&G late last year, setting off a round of poaching between companies. Old Mutual subsequently hired Stephen Snowden from Aegon, which led to Aegon poaching David Roberts from Britannic's fixed interest team. All three managers have been on their respective UK corporate bond funds for three years, with Snowden and Woolnough both heading up their funds since July 2000 and Roberts joining Britannic taking on the role as fund...
