Jankowska bullish on alternative energy space

Fund bucks downward industry trend in first six months onshore, focusing on alternative energy, pollution control and water technology

Allianz RCM launched an onshore version of its EcoTrends Sicav in February and the group said the vehicle has bucked the market's downward trend in its first six months. The fund was already available to UK investors but the group argued popular demand inspired the onshore mirror. According to the firm, over six months to end August, the thematic portfolio has outperformed the Global Growth sector average by more than 15%.
