Manager Mileen Rash benefits from market's shift to focus on valuation and fundamentals, seeking out undervalued stocks with recovery potential

Mileen Rash, manager of the Henderson UK Opportunities fund, produced returns of 6.5% during a volatile February, compared to a return of 0.8% from the FTSE All-Share. He said February's market movements suggest it is increasingly becoming a stockpicker's market. He cites interest rate cuts in the US and UK, along with profit warnings from some of the market's favoured defensives, as prompting a shift in sentiment.
