BlackRock's Andrew Williamson-Jones has moved from a defensive to a cyclical bias in order to position Global Equity more sector neutral. At the start of the year, he moved defensive, buying into large-cap, dividend-paying stocks and becoming overweight in telecoms and food beverages. However, since March, the manager has reduced this quality bias in favour of oil and cyclical stocks, making the fund broadly sector neutral, and focusing on two main themes - wind turbine manufacturers and China.
