Award winning private equity trust will increasingly diversify away from low-growth UK market

The HgCapital investment trust's recent success in performance terms was reflected when it scooped the private equity/venture capital prize in the 2005 Investment Week Investment Trust of the Year Awards. Over 12 months to 16 December, shareholders have seen their investments return 27.8% while NAV has risen 25.1% compared to 23% from the FTSE All-Share over the same period.
