Manager Cory Gilchrist turns around fortunes of Gartmore US Opportunities fund
A 15% exposure to non-US countries has helped the previously underperforming Gartmore US Opportunities to top its sector after a manager change in June. The group removed former managers Gil Knight, Chris Baggini and Gary Haubold of NWD earlier this year after a period of underperformance. US Opportunities went to Cory Gilchrist of Marsico Capital Management in June and has given the portfolio a complete overhaul.
