What are quant strategies? Most investment processes have two parts - quantitative, or quant, and qualitative. While qualitative strategies are based on things like a fund manager's assessment of the quality of a company's management, products or services and supply chain, quants cover things like company financials, earnings metrics such as price/earning and price/book ratios, cashflow and dividend yields.
