Multi-cap exposure helps BlackRock manager navigate portfolio through the global crisis
BlackRock's Richard Plackett has so far managed to navigate his UK Special Situations fund through the economic crisis, achieving what he claims is one of the best long-term track records in the sector. Over three and five years the £560m fund has outperformed the IMA UK All Companies sector, to 9 February according to Morningstar. It has posted returns of 31.8% against the sector average of 7.7% over five years and -19.1% against the index's -23.1% over three years.
