Nick Gartside takes up reins from departed co-manager Bob Michele, taking Schroder Strategic Bond vehicle to first in the sector over three months
Exposure to US agency mortgages and a low high-yield weighting have pushed Schroder Strategic Bond to the top of its sector in the short term, according to manager Nick Gartside. Morningstar statistics show the vehicle is leading the sector over the past three months and fifth out of 48 funds over the past year. Gartside has been running both the onshore (£100m) and offshore ($375m) versions since May 2007 with co-manager Bob Michele.
