Barry Norris and Oliver Russ take Argonaut boutique convincingly into its second six month spell

Barry Norris and Oliver Russ left Neptune to set up boutique Argonaut in a joint venture with Britannic, now Resolution, in May 2005 and, attracted £100m to their European Alpha fund after just six months. When they launched their second product, a European equity income fund, at the end of last year Norris assumed sole responsibility for European Alpha while Russ took on the new mandate. Since then the Alpha portfolio, which typically holds between 30 and 55 stocks, has grown to £212m.
