Performance in the Global Growth sector suffered over 2006 after a boom in the previous year. Stockpicking funds outperformed generalised asset allocation vehicles over the period. Funds in the sector have seen widely varied performance, with growth over three years to the end of January ranging from -17.68% to 110.17% bid to bid. The sector average over the period was 46.64%, according to Standard & Poor's.
