Franklin Templeton fixed income head John Beck is currently steering his portfolios towards the dollar for the first time in a decade as the currency continues to strengthen. He runs four Sicavs for the group as well as two recently launched Oeics - Strategic Bond and Global Total Return Bond - alongside Michael Hasenstab. Global Total Return Bond aims for a long-term total return from income, capital appreciation and currency gains, by investing in fixed and floating rate debt securities of government and corporate issuers worldwide.
