The global economy is slowing down at an increasing speed. The International Monetary Fund projects real economic growth in advanced economies to slow down from 2.2% in 2018 to 1.9% in 2019 and 1.7% in 2020.

There are a number of recession indicators that have historically been used to signal a recession in the US. None of these indicators have a perfect track record, but if the majority are in danger territory, we should pay attention.
