Chancellor Rachel Reeves has shared plans to maintain fairness for British businesses by allowing them to report unfair trade practices such as the potential ‘dumping’ of cheap goods into the UK.

The package of measures seeks to improve the monitoring of trade data and speed up any potential solutions in the pipeline aimed at deterring import surges.  As part of the changes, the government will also review the customs treatment of low value imports, following reports from UK retailers that an influx of such goods hampers their competitiveness in global markets.  Reeves 'confident' of a trade deal with the US as she outlines 'non-negotiable' UK demands Moreover, the Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has the mandate to take immediate action to defend the UK against unfair intern...
