Hargreaves Lansdown drops Ben Whitmore's Global Value Equity fund from Wealth Shortlist

'Continued uncertainty' over new venture

Hargreaves Lansdown has dropped the Jupiter Global Value Equity from its Wealth Shortlist ahead of the departure of star manager Ben Whitmore.

Ben Whitmore and Dermot Murphy, the fund's managers, as well as investment director Claudia Ripley are all departing from Jupiter Asset Management by the end of July to run their own investment venture, Brickwood Asset Management. Jupiter is currently exploring an option of allowing Whitmore and Murphy to continue managing the fund on a sub-advisory basis via Brickwood, meaning their former firm would hire them to manage the portfolio.
