Martin Gilbert to become chair of digital bank Revolut - reports

Martin Gilbert is set to take on the role of chairman at digital bank Revolut, as the company prepares for a new round of fundraising, according to reports.

Gilbert, formerly co-chief executive of Standard Life Aberdeen, has been informally advising the digital bank's CEO for several months, according to the Financial Times. Gilbert was CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management for 34 years until its merger with Standard Life in 2017, but stepped down from his role as co-CEO earlier this year after a period of poor performance.
