How is your investment in clean or green energy doing?

This is of course a rhetorical question because we all know the dreadful answer to this question. Clean energy has been an epic investment disaster. Let us take just one example – the S&P Clean Energy index. This is one of the benchmark indices for anyone in the clean energy space and it tracks a diverse bunch of companies. Over the year-to-date, it is down a whopping 26%, with a five-year return of -34%.
