UK equities grind higher as the year progresses.

Despite the gloomy economic outlook for the UK and political uncertainty surrounding the upcoming general election, UK equities have continued to grind higher during 2010, with the FTSE All-Share Index reaching its highest level for 20 months.  We believe although markets are likely to remain volatile, there are still a number of reasons for investors in UK equities to be optimistic about the future.
