Investec's Mundy receives Morningstar's first UK Equity FMYA

Investec's Alastair Mundy has won Morningstar's inaugural qualitative award category: the Morningstar UK Equity Fund Manager of the Year award.

This new award draws on research undertaken by Morningstar’s UK fund analysts to recognise one fund manager who not only had a strong 2009, but who has also done well for investors over the long term. Given recent volatility, this methodology provided our analysts with something of a conundrum. On the one hand, after two horrendous years of markets roiled by the credit crisis, investors saw a strong rally that helped managers claw back losses with varying success.
