Does anyone actually know what the compliance industry does all day? I am left wondering on a daily basis whether the vast wealth of resources ploughed into this sector is actually producing any real value. I think the simple answer is "No", and I am guessing I would not have too many people disagreeing with me. I have found myself having to deal directly with the compliance departments of a number of major institutions in recent weeks.
