AXA IM's Vinatier shuns UK in relaunched Fintech fund

AXA Investment Managers' Vincent Vinatier is largely avoiding the UK in the recently overhauled AXA Framlington Fintech fund in favour of holding more global companies.

The manager's only UK holding is consumer credit reporting firm Experian, which Vinatier favours for its "big data angle".  However, it is not a top ten holding and the fund's total UK exposure at the end of February was 1.78%, according to FE, while North America is the largest regional weighting at 51.36%. The £54.8m former financials fund was restructured with a fintech mandate in November 2018 to take advantage of "the fast-changing financial services landscape".
