Aberdeen Standard Investments launches pan-European residential property fund

Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI) has unveiled a European residential property strategy designed to capture the high demand and low supply of rented residential property across the continent.

The Aberdeen Standard European Residential Property fund will be supported by Dutch fund manager Pensioenfonds Metaal en Techniek (PMT) and its fiduciary manager, MN and has raised over €350m from eight investors in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Run by ASI portfolio manager Marc Pamin and supported by assistant fund managers Ed Crockett and Ole Tange, the fund will target a return of 5%-7% net of fees with an income element of 3%-4% a year.
