Update: Ex-SLI's Cumming to join Munro at Aviva Investors

David Cumming, formerly head of equities at Standard Life Investments (SLI), is to join Aviva Investors in January as chief investment officer, equities.

The firm confirmed the news on Monday morning following reports by Sky News over the weekend. He will join on 2 January and report to former SLI colleague Euan Munro, one of the founding members of the group's Global Absolute Return Strategies (GARS) team, who joined Aviva Investors as CEO in January 2014.
